Charlie Kirk

We’ve seen it repeatedly: the desire to topple a regime out of anger. Revolution.

How many times has there been a plan for what was to come after? From the rubble, we just continue the cycle of projecting our trauma and pain, and we do the same shit over again. Can we try something different?

I am one person with an idea.

I don’t have all of the answers, but that’s one of the cool things about diversity. Someone else might have an idea about one of the other answers; it’s not any one person’s responsibility to move us all towards progress.

My ideal is that more people feel safe in the world, not less. My idea is that fewer and fewer people flinging their pain around as justification for being heartless curs will make more of us actually safe. We’re all fucked up in our own special way, and we’re all constantly being simultaneously triggered and desensitized.

We need to get off the internet and systemically heal our shit.

“Systemically” does, in fact, start with you. You don’t know what you don’t know; that’s all of us. You fall back on your training. You use what you do know; or what you think you do.

In the metaphorical dark, you’ll see through a lens of your trauma and respond accordingly. Fear and confusion (the internet’s specialty for unconscious consumers) will exacerbate unresolved issues, and we, humans, can become reactive. We dismiss the fact that others also have a right to their own emotions, so when people we don’t know are actually killing each other, depending on who died, you can feel personally slighted or avenged based on the worldview of someone who just fucking died.

If you’re ugly enough inside that you’ll revel in someone’s murder or laugh at anyone’s suffering, then I don’t see you as the kind of person I’d want as a roommate, either.

You clearly have the same way of thinking, you’re just demonizing a different group of clearly unhealed people. If you want to say it’s justified because he was calling for your removal beforehand, then I’d argue that you sound like a child.

He did it first!

Please go take a time out. You sound like the President.

If you want to make the world a better place, make your Self a better place. Reclaim your humanity. Resensitize.
